De bizarre en ontroerende gebeurtenissen die hij meemaakt of veroorzaakt beschrijft hij enkele maanden later tegen de achtergrond van de Fluwelen Revolutie op 17 november van datzelfde jaar, die een eind maakte aan het communistische bestel en die uit zou monden in de verkiezing van Václav Havel, de ‘heilige’ Václav, tot president. Schrijnend is de confrontatie van enerzijds een min of meer ‘foute’ Hrabal in het Amerika dat hij in de jaren vijftig, toen hij zelf niet kon publiceren, zozeer bewonderde om de beatnikgeneratie en anderzijds een ‘goede’ Hrabal die laaiend enthousiast was over de Fluwelen Revolutie, die gedragen werd door studenten.Shipping Notes

This blanket is absolutely stunning! It matches perfectly with the matching pillows! I don’t allow my dog on the couch so I got her a bean bag and filled it will foam and covered it with this twin size sage green bubble blanket to match my couch, I love the way it looks and my dog loves the way it feels.
