The Dark Pictures is een reeks opzichzelfstaande, filmtechnische horrorgames, ontworpen om een nieuwe, gruwelijke ervaring te presenteren op regelmatige basis. Elke game staat op zichzelf en zal een compleet nieuw verhaal, met een nieuwe setting en een nieuwe cast met personages tonen.
De voortgang van de spelers zal worden bijgehouden door de Curator, een alwetende gids die de keuzen van onze hoofdfiguren tot zich neemt. The Curator is tijdloos, en slaat de verhalen van leven en dood op in zijn eigen kleine sectie van een uitgebreide bewaarplaats die elk verhaal dat ooit is verteld bevat.
MAN OF MEDAN
Man of Medan is de eerste game in de Dark Pictures Anthology, en brengt bovennatuurlijke horror naar de Grote Oceaan. Vier vrienden en hun kapitein hijsen de zeilen om te gaan duiken.
Tijdens hun reis gaan ze op zoek naar een wrak uit WO II. In de loop van de dag begint er een storm te woeden, en hun uitstapje verandert al snel in iets wat veel onheilspellender is. Wie blijft er leven, wie sterft? Het is aan jou. Kun jij ze allemaal redden?
