The property :
In the heart of the Pauillac appellation, Château Duhart-Milon is a perfect concentration of this appellation. This 4th Classified Growth of Pauillac was founded in the 18th century under the impulse of the Lafite family who covered Pauillac with vines at that time.

The vineyard :
To date, the Duhart Milon vineyard represents 76 hectares. It lies to the west of another well-known Pauillac property: Château Lafite Rothschild. The soils are composed of fine gravel and wind-blown sand on tertiary limestone subsoils.

The vintage :
The mild winter led to an early bud break on March 27 followed by mid-flowering on June 4. The light rainfall in mid-September was very beneficial to the end of ripening in the Duhart-Milon gravel. The climatic conditions of this vintage allowed the grapes to reach their perfect maturity at the time of the harvest, in mid-September. Harvesting took place from September 19 to October 4, starting with the Merlot and then the Cabernets.

Cabernet Sauvignon (70%), Merlot (30%)

Tasting :
The 2019 Chateau Duhart-Milon is a wine that shows good ripeness while retaining a nice fresh fruit.
