Summer Art Camps 2026

with artist Dawn Crothers

Get ready for an unforgettable Summer Art Camp experience in 2026!
Artist Dawn Crothers is delighted to launch an exciting new art camp programme, specially designed to give children more space, more variety, and more creative freedom than ever before.

This year’s camps move beyond the studio setting into a larger, dynamic environment, supported by additional experienced staff, allowing children to explore art on a whole new scale. With plenty of room to move, imagine, build, and create, participants will enjoy a fun, energetic atmosphere where creativity truly comes alive.

Throughout the camp, children will take part in hands-on art activities and creative games, while exploring a wide range of exciting art forms, including:

  • Drawing & painting

  • Sculpture & 3D problem solving

  • Animation

  • Junk sculpting & upcycling

  • Printmaking

  • Book making, illustrating & storytelling

  • Mixed media experiments and much more!

This wide variety ensures there’s something for every child, whether they love to draw, build, invent, or try something completely new. The programme encourages creativity, confidence, teamwork, and imaginative thinking — all while having lots of fun and making new friends.

Dawn’s teaching philosophy focuses on building strong creative foundations while keeping the experience playful, encouraging, and inspiring. Children are supported to express themselves, take creative risks, and feel proud of their artwork in a relaxed, positive environment.

A wonderful telling of history.
Format: Kindle
A wonderful telling of history by an enjoyable author. It isn't light reading per se but if you want a read that will enhance your understanding of the American people this is a good book.

Scholarly and Readable, Too
Format: Paperback
I read the first volume in this series (about the Great Depression), and now I'm in the midst of this one. Kennedy's very-lucid prose keeps the reader moving along, and of course, the sweep of the story he's telling is nearly-irresistible. But in lamer hands, the prose might well have bogged down in turgidity--not so in this case!

Good but not as good
Format: Kindle
Freedom From Fear #1 was one of the most interesting and informational books I've ever read. Part Two was interesting but I did not learn much more about the war than I had known before other than the fact that, while Japan lost the war, Anglo-Saxons are no longer in control in the Far East. I somewhat disagree with his ending ideas about the "good" war, that it wasn't so "good" after all in it's outcome. However, those who fought in it and their families would probably disagree.
