Our Sweet Sin Rooibos Tea tastes as good as it smells and is not exclusively for the romantically inclined.
Naturally caffeine-free. Rooibos is a direct translation from African, meaning “red bush.” This natural herb grows around 1500 to 2000 feet above sea level in the Cederberg Mountains of the Western Cape of South Africa.
Rooibos seeds are planted during February and March and then tended for 18 months. The entire bush is harvested, cut, and milled to a uniform length. Bruising is accomplished between rollers which trigger the oxidation process. This turns the tea from green to its characteristic reddish-brown color and develops a naturally sweet aroma.
Our Rooibos has a soothing effect on headaches, disturbed sleeping patterns, and digestive or colic problems. Many of our daily recommended nutrients can be derived from hot or iced cups of Rooibos. Iron, Copper, Zinc, Magnesium, Fluoride, Manganese, and Sodium, and in other words, healthy skin, teeth, bones, blood, and metabolic functions.
20 to 25 cups of tea can be made from 2 oz of loose-leaf rooibos. We suggest steeping our Rooibos multiple times for even more cups of great tea.
Brewing Instructions for Sweet Sin Rooibos Tea
Prepare like tea; these gems contain no tea leaves. All rooibos blends are caffeine-free. Use boiling water and steep for up to 10 minutes, depending on personal preferences. All rooibos teas are sold in 2oz packets from which 20-25 cups of tea can be brewed unless otherwise noted.
Store in a dry place.
