Zelda was born in Philadelphia, lived in Oklahoma and Massachusetts, and raised her three children outside of New Haven, CT. She was married to Marshall Edelson, MD, PhD, who was a Professor of Psychiatry at Yale University. Zelda had a 20 plus year career as the Editor of Print at the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History. In addition to editing books, Zelda edited the natural history magazine, Discovery. After retiring Zelda returned to Mainline Philadelphia where she lives and paints.
