Beale argues that the Old Testament tabernacle and temples were symbolically designed to point to the end-time reality that God's presence, formerly limited to the Holy of Holies, would be extended throughout the cosmos. Hence, John's vision in Revelation 21 is best understood as picturing the new heavens and earth as the eschatological temple. Beale's stimulating exposition traces the theme of the tabernacle and temple across the Bible's story-line, illuminating many texts and closely-related themes along the way. He shows how the significance and symbolism of the temple can be better understood in the context of ancient Near Eastern assumptions, and offers new insights into the meaning of the temple in both Old and New Testaments. Great version, Love the packaging, Video quality is not perfect.
Really nice transfer considering the year this was made. I'm not sure if this could be cleaned up video signal wise any more than it is, because I'm not sure the source. But loved seeing the movie again, and it looks really good on my 138" projected image. Love the packaging.

4K Remaster Quality
I received the 4K / Blu-ray today 06/13 and l am very critical of video and audio quality. I'm not going to review the film but it is excellent with all the Monty Python influences and the iconic stars in the film! But just to assure everyone, the quality of these Criterion discs are perfect! I've never seen this film like this before, if you buy this one, you will not be sorry! The 4K disc also comes with a Blu-ray of the film. Just to mention, the George Harrison song at the end "Dream Away" is also outstanding! 5 Stars!

I'm a huge Time Bandits fan, and I wasn't disappointed
I saw this in the theater (I'm old) and a bunch of times on VHS, DVD and on TV.
But nothing beats the movie in super-clear 4K, great sound and CLOSED CAPTIONING.
