In this fully revised and updated third edition of China in the 21st Century: What Everyone Needs to Know(R), Jeffrey N. Wasserstrom and Maura Elizabeth Cunningham provide cogent answers to urgent questions regarding the world's newest superpower and offer a framework for understanding China's meteoric rise from developing country to superpower. Framing their answers through the historical legacies - Confucian thought, Western and Japanese imperialism, the Mao era, and the Tiananmen Square massacre - that largely define China's present-day trajectory, Wasserstrom and Cunningham introduce readers to the Chinese Communist Party, the building boom in Shanghai, and the environmental fallout of rapid Chinese industrialization. They also explain unique aspects of Chinese culture, such as the one-child policy, and provide insight into Chinese-American relations, a subject that has become increasingly fraught during the Trump era. As Wasserstrom and Cunningham draw parallels between China and other industrialized nations during their periods of development, in particular the United States during its rapid industrialization in the 19th century, they also predict how we might expect China to act in the future vis- -vis the United States, Russia, India, and its East Asian neighbors.

Updated to include perspectives on Hong Kong's shifting political status, as well as an expanded discussion of President Xi Jinping's time in office, China in the 21st Century provides a concise and insightful introduction to this significant global power.

Great for a bedroom and nice white noise sound!
Color: White
Great value and power from a little purifier!! I’ve been using this for about a year and got one for my parents as well because it worried so well. I use it in my master bedroom and purchased originally for putting in front of an open window so it would serve as a fan pulling in air AND clean the allergens out of the air! We have allergies so the big fan in front of the window brings in tree and grass pollen and we’d cough all night and wake up with a sore throat. Now this purifier is on a short stool, sucks the air in, blows it up to the fan that we turn on sometimes when it gets real hot. On high setting it is like a fan on medium, and perfect white noise for sleeping. The filters aren’t expensive and I just subscribe and save every 6 months.

Solid purchase for everyday use.
Color: Orange
Can’t really say to much about these. They have a strong magnet and are durable enough for everyday use. I use them to hang my compression leggings from normatec as well as other accessories. They work well and are at an affordable price. Hook size is ok. I feel like most items you would hang have no issue. Have not loaded them with to much weight but I’m sure they can hold a fair amount.

can always use more
Color: Black
I keep buying more of these for fitness equipment storage. I got long and short hook models and very strong magnets hold up pull down attachments weighing 10lbs or more. Works great for belts, carabiners and anything you want to organize in the weight room.
