The Rape of US-Predatory US ruling class, beware!
Format: Hardcover
This is a very interesting perspective and most certainly written one year after the death of Henry Kissinger! Lee smith argues a very good case of how the United States (US) "China Class" augmented their own wealth, power, and prestige at the expense of impoverishing the US Middle Class. This is the story of the US ruling class's deadly pact with China. Smith provides an in-depth historical manuscript of the US/China interaction from the post WW II period to the present. Most of the emphasis is from the Kissinger/Nixon initiation in the early 70's to the present. The author's Anti-communist bias is well displayed in the forefront of the well written pages of the text. The first third of the book provides the author's insight into the Kissinger/Nixon catalyst that commences the two-nation relationship. Halfway into the book the author provides the description of what led up to, what took place, and the after math of the April 1989 Tiananmen Square crackdown. The reader is able to understand the reasons that lead up to it and the US president's response. This was a highlight for my interests. Chapter five is a turning point in the US/China relations when the US liberals take up the relationship via the California political system influence from trade to US Wall Street financing the China capital markets. Thus, opening the window for its entrance into the WTO. Here Diane Feinstein and her investor husband, Richard Blum, became the mantle carriers of the relationship. According to Smith they have turned California into the liberal state it is today. Is this similar to another power political couple that resides in the US Congress today from the same state? The author meticulously travels through each of the administrations' delving into the events and culture that led to the US posture on China at that respective time period. Through this he continually notes Kissinger's continued influence through theses time periods. Then in chapter eight he reviews Hank Paulson of Goldman Sachs who single handedly poured accelerant on to the China/US story connecting it with Wall Street finance! This created a landside of wealth for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the US elites (all excerpted from his books). It appears China over this course has protected its own companies while exploiting American's vanity and greed. Today, as so far as, China poses a threat to the US, it is because the US has been assisting it every step of the way! I found the ten chapter book very well done with no editorial errors. The physical product is very sturdy with copious references and a usable index. There are no photographs, charts or maps. I highly recommend this testimony to all my Democratic Party colleagues so they can understand the damage they are incurring to their country by their financially supporting the CCP. It is very possible Donald trump is set out to reverse Kissinger.

Wow China Is Subversive & Dangerous
Format: Hardcover
I kind of knew that were are dealing with a very shrewd communist country but Smith opened my eyes to the way that the Chinese go about getting what they want and doing it in a manner that goes under the radar. You have to be on the alert to their leaders attitudes and their methods so as not to get roped into their game plan. Now more than ever I am going to promote American Made products and keep an eye out for Chinese deception. I'm not paranoid about it but I don't like they way communist China operates, it's a one way street, their way. I try to keep that in mind and with the information that Smith presents it not only angers me but makes me away of the possible ways that I may fall prey to their practices. I highly recommend this book, especially if your American First.

Lee Smith’s “The China Matrix” Exposes the Urgent Battle for America’s Soul
Format: Audiobook, Format: Audiobook
Lee Smith, a veteran investigative journalist, has penned groundbreaking exposés on political intrigue. His recent works include The Permanent Coup (2020), detailing threats to the American presidency; The Plot Against the President (2019), uncovering efforts to undermine Trump; and The Strong Horse (2010), analyzing Middle Eastern power dynamics each revealing hidden forces shaping global events. In The China Matrix, Smith delivers what may be his most critical work yet, surpassing even his prior masterpieces in urgency amid rising geopolitical tensions. This meticulously researched tome guides readers through a chilling historical timeline, starting with Henry Kissinger’s shadowy overtures to Mao Zedong and Richard Nixon’s pivotal opening of China in the 1970s. Smith masterfully traces how subsequent presidents from Carter to Obama and beyond enabled Beijing’s insidious infiltration into American institutions, economy, and society. Their short sighted dealings, often driven by elite greed, paved the way for a “fifth column” of influencers loyal to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), operating right under our noses. One of the book’s most eye opening revelations is the exploitation of U.S. visa systems, particularly through birth tourism. Smith details how Chinese nationals strategically have children on American soil, granting automatic citizenship that extends benefits to parents and facilitates deeper entrenchment. This is not mere opportunism, it is a calculated strategy to embed spies, influencers, and operatives who prioritize CCP interests over America’s. Enter Donald Trump, whom Smith portrays as the visionary disruptor who saw through the facade from the start. Having observed China’s maneuvers in business and politics for decades, Trump initiated bold reforms to dismantle this matrix from trade wars curbing economic exploitation to stricter visa enforcement and scrutiny of foreign influences. Smith argues convincingly that Trump’s actions are not just reactive but prophetic, addressing a rot that previous administrations ignored or exacerbated. What sets The China Matrix apart is its unassailable research, Smith’s evidence is ironclad, drawing from declassified documents, insider accounts, and historical records that brook no challenge. It is more than a book it is an education in espionage and betrayal. By the final page, readers grasp the severity of China’s infiltration, the “enormity of the surveillance” enabled by thousands of CCP loyal infiltrators in tech, academia, government, and beyond. Smith connects the dots with chilling precision, spotlighting cases like Dianne Feinstein’s longtime driver revealed as a Chinese spy, illustrating how even high level U.S. officials have been compromised. Yet, amid the dire warnings, Smith shines a hopeful light on Trump’s achievements. From exposing elite complicity in fentanyl flows and tech theft to rallying an “America First” agenda, Trump has begun unraveling the web and, as Smith projects, will continue this vital work over the next three plus years in office. The task is enormous, but understanding it through Smith’s lens makes clear why systemic change is essential for securing better lives for all Americans. The China Matrix is invaluable, bordering on mandatory reading for anyone seeking to comprehend the CCP’s deep entrenchment and the high stakes fight to reclaim our sovereignty. In an era of misinformation, Smith’s dot connecting narrative empowers readers to see the big picture. .

A great book by a great journalist
Format: Hardcover
The China Matrix is another great book by the great journalist Lee Smith. The book is written in a very easy to read format. I have learned so many things that I didn't know before, and I simply can't put it down. Lee opened my eyes about the way Washington D.C. works, and I really miss his Epoch TV show, Over the Target. I wish more shows invited him on because he has a great insight when it comes to domestic and international affairs. To whoever wants to learn more about the way the Chinese Community Party works, I recommend to get this book and read it.
