Firehouse No. 1. El Pueblo de La Reina de Los Angeles was founded in 1781. The 1820sbuilt plaza was ruled for decades by the magnanimous Judge Agust n Olvera. Wine Street was renamed in his honor after his 1876 death and took on a back-alley toughness depicted in early Hollywood films. In the 1920s, Christine Sterling campaigned to savethe Avila Adobe from demolition and transform Olvera Street into an internationally recognized tourist destination, which opened in 1930. Today the old plaza and Olvera Street shops, restaurants, museums, and vendors draw 1 million people annually under the auspices of El Pueblo de Los
Angeles Historical Monument.

Definitely reading more by this author!!!

I really enjoyed this book! I absolutely love Holt and Wren. I loved watching them come back together and admit their feelings for each other. What I loved most was the mystery and suspension all throughout this book! It had me hooked from the very beginning, and just when I thought I knew who the culprit was, it was twisted to someone I never expected! I’ll definitely be reading more by this author 🫶🏻

First book by Catherine Cowles and it did not disappoint!

This was my first book by Catherine Cowles and I am sooo hooked on this series!! I fell in love with Holt & Wren. Having read the blurb before reading, I sort of knew what to expect but you’re left guessing all the way until the end who the culprit is😳
Never in a million years would I have ever guessed it right. It’s so easy to see the love between Holt & Wren never went away and all they did for 10 years was delay the inevitable.
Second chance romances are some of my favorites and this was such a good example of it. It was SO fun to watch their love grow again🫶🏼
I can’t wait to read the rest of the series and catch up with the fam and see all their love stories bloom!

Romantic Suspense…

Someone please explain to me why this is the first book I’ve ever read by the queen Catherine. When the guy’s name is Holt… automatically gets me every time. And WREN?!? I’m actually obsessed with her. Second chance, small town… yes please. I immediately have to start Nash’s book. Catherine Cowles I don’t know where you’ve been alllll of my life but I can’t believe I missed you at BB. Get ready for me to post about reading your WHOLE backlist!
