These pendants are made from tumble-polished offcuts of New Zealand Pounamu (nephrite jade), each drilled and strung on a durable adjustable waxed polyester cord. Left in their natural freeform shapes, they carry a raw, authentic beauty and are ideal for anyone who prefers simple, casual jewellery or meaningful pieces with a spiritual connection.

Each pendant is one-of-a-kind — shaped by both the tumbling process and the stone’s natural grain. No two are ever alike, making every pendant a unique taonga (treasure).

Geology & Science:
• Pounamu (nephrite jade) is a variety of amphibole (actinolite–tremolite series) and is prized for its toughness and smooth polish.
• Found mainly in the South Island of New Zealand, Pounamu forms in alpine fault zones over millions of years.
• Its green hues range from pale milky tones to deep, rich forest green depending on mineral inclusions.

Cultural & Spiritual Significance:
• Pounamu is considered a taonga (treasure) in Māori culture, highly valued for its mana (authority, prestige, spiritual power).
• Traditionally carved into tools, weapons, and adornments, it carries the energy of protection, strength, and connection to ancestors.
• Wearing Pounamu is said to offer grounding, balance, and spiritual clarity, making even simple offcuts powerful personal pieces.

To the Māori of Aotearoa New Zealand, Pounamu is more than a stone — it is a taonga (treasure), gifted between families, carried as protective talismans, and imbued with mana (spiritual authority, prestige). It is often seen as a living material, one that gathers wairua (spirit, essence) from its wearer over time, becoming deeply personal and sacred.

In the wider metaphysical community, nephrite jade is valued as a stone of healing, balance, and resilience. It is believed to:
• 🌿 Ground and protect – shielding the aura from negative energies while keeping the wearer connected to the earth.
• 💚 Encourage emotional balance – soothing the heart, easing stress, and fostering harmony in relationships.
• ✨ Manifest abundance and growth – long associated with prosperity, fertility, and renewal.
• 🪶 Strengthen spiritual connection – particularly for those who feel drawn to ancestral energy or earth-centered practices.

Carrying or wearing even a small tumble of Pounamu is thought to bring a sense of calm strength, acting as both a protector and a companion on life’s journey. Many choose to meditate with Pounamu in hand, keep it close as a pocket stone, or use it as a touchstone for grounding during stressful times.

Care Guide:
• Avoid harsh chemicals or impacts.
• To refresh its shine, rub gently with a natural oil (like olive or flaxseed).
• Over time, Pounamu absorbs the oils of your skin, deepening its lustre and forming a unique bond with the wearer.

Note:
As each pendant is made from natural offcuts, shapes, colours, and sizes will vary. If you’d like to choose a specific piece, please send me a message and I’ll happily share photos of what’s available.

Adjustable Cord:
The pendant is suspended from an adjustable waxed polyester cord, made adjustable vis barrel knots. An adjustable waxed polyester cord allows for versatile styling and ensures comfortable wear and is waterproof.

Photos are captured under LED lighting to ensure true color representation, though slight variations may occur depending on individual lighting conditions.

Scrub a dub dub
Scent: Ivory
I like the scrubby side more then the soft side, fits great in the hand, washing doesn’t ruin the durability or feel and the pack is a great deal!

A bit small!
Format: Board book, Format: Board book
Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear? / Oso polar, oso polar, ¿qué es ese ruido? is such a great classic! My students absolutely love the repetitive, rhythmic text—it keeps them engaged and encourages participation, especially during read-alouds. I also love that it’s bilingual, which supports my students in building vocabulary and making connections in both English and Spanish. It’s perfect for a diverse classroom and helps all learners feel included. The only downside is that the book is a bit smaller than expected, but it’s still a wonderful addition to our classroom library. Overall, a must-have for early childhood classrooms!

Great bilingual children's board book
Format: Board book
Our kiddo loves this series of books. We appreciate that they are bilingual, with both English and Spanish on each page. My partner can read the same book one way, while I read it another. All the while, our kiddo can follow along and choose the names and languages they are most comfortable with.
