"This book is as autobiographical as it is biographical . . . a book that juxtaposes two adventurers, one with her own challenges still unfolding and the other with his position fixed in history . . . a book worthy of the centenary celebration of Amundsen's trek to the South Pole."--San Francisco Chronicle

Today the North and South Poles are home to research stations and film crews, but just a century ago they were forbidding lands seldom seen by human eyes. Those who journeyed there were the last true explorers, and one of the most successful ever was Roald Amundsen. Known as "the last of the Vikings," the Norwegian-born Amundsen began his career of adventure at age fifteen and by forty had become the first man to successfully navigate the Northwest Passage, and to reach both the North and South Poles.

As a girl, Lynne Cox read of Amundsen's exploits, which inspired her to follow her own adventurous dreams of open-water swimming. Here, she gives an account of Amundsen's life and expeditions while detailing her own experiences swimming (without a wetsuit) in the same polar regions he first explored. At once a biography, history, and memoir, South with the Sun holds something for any lover of adventure.

"Not to miss . . . It's fascinating to read about the Norwegian hardman through the eyes of Cox."--Outside

Paws the vote is in and it got three out of three
Three puppies voted paws up for taste and a little bit of longevity. Now as for value for money. I know how much better than rawhide treats. But I’d like to see the price come down and more chewy’s inside the bag

So so small! Not worth $
The images in Amazon are nothing like what the product is. The pretzels and rings are minuscule. My two pit/lab mixes will eat one in about 30 seconds. So disappointment. Not worth the $ for what you’re getting. I tried to return items which are individually wrapped but they do not allow returns on these products. I have not opened any of them and still not able to return. If you have a dog under 15lbs these may work! If you have a large breed don’t bother. I’m so disappointed. Pictures above is the product next to a small milk bone biscuit (for reference).

Clean & quality but taste, meh
Flavor Name: Berry, Size: 30 Servings (8.0 Ounce) (Pack of 1)
I’ve ordered this product twice now. I do a wide array of workouts from weights to running to multi-functional. I’ve taken aminos from different companies for a long time but started to finally really research & felt much safer taking Thorne. The flavor isn’t the best if you add too much water. I’ve always added around 20oz to my intra-workout aminos with no problem but this one will get watered down. I adjusted and it’s been good. I’m also used to awful tasting soups and just powering through worse and this flavor is better than stuff I took up till the last few years. Newer people to using supplements might not like the flavor at all but trust me all workout supplements used to be awful. My recovery & muscle growth/lift gains have remained the same to the other products I’ve used with more mystery ingredients so there was no drop off there. I’m okay with taking a step back on taste and variety rather than putting mystery crap in my body from lesser regulated big companies. Product quality wins this for me & I’ve heard from multiple non-Thorne associated experts that vouched for Thrones testing.
