Bold, weird, wild, wired, sonically luxurious yet never losing touch with it's DIY-'til-I-die roots, Thumb World is a voyage to the outer rings of Pictish Trail's mind at it's darkest, funniest and most inventive - a plugged-in, fuzzed-out, fucked-up contemplation on, as he puts it, "life repeating and gradually degrading, the inevitable cyclical nature of things, and the sense of their ultimately being no escape." Expect alien abductions, thumping beats, Trump-haired pigs, paternal panic, astronaut sex, bad acid trips, worse hangovers, lashings of distortion and a lot of anthropomorphic thumbs. "Our opposable thumbs are the things that separate us from most other animals on Earth, " Pictish explains, of the fat digit symbolism, "they are also the things that we use to swipe on screens, to separate ourselves from our normal lives, but which in turn trap us within an artificial reality."Produced and mixed by Rob Jones, featuring string arrangements from Kim Moore and drumming from Alex Thomas (Squarepusher, Anna Calvi, Air), Thumb World is Pictish Trail's most collaborative album to date. An audio-visual dialogue with Swatpaz, AKA Scottish artist Davey Ferguson - the man behind the Turbo Fantasy series and an entire episode of cult TV phenomenon Adventure Time - furnished Johnny with not just a graphic aesthetic for the album, but even helped him to shape the sound of the finished record. "I sent Davey a work-in-progress mix of the album, " Johnny says, "he came back with sketches in which he had reimagined Thumb World as an 80's arcade game. Some of the songs are centered around specific visual images, inspired by Davey's sketches."Due for release on Fire Records on February 21, 2020. My 30 pound 7 month old puppy was tearing it apart.

I gave little Charlee back the bone for a size comparison. She's trying to rip off a piece that she chewed loose. This puppy is only 30 pounds and 7 months old. The bone is clearly rated for puppies up to 8 months old and 60 pounds. It is rated for dogs twice her weight and she was trying to pull chunks off of it. When she grows up she'll still be within the weight limit. There is a lot more damage than pictured and she may have eaten a couple of missing spikes.
She is a strong and mildly destructive chewer, but this is unacceptable.
I have a smaller version of this bone without the spikes and it has lasted months of gnawing, so I expected that quality to carry over to it's larger cousin. This was a big disappointment.

Very durable; aggressive chewer approves

My dog is an extremely aggressive chewer so finding a toy that can survive more than a few days is never easy. This bone has done well for the last couple months. It’s a little bit larger and heavier than I was expecting but isn’t a problem for my German shepherd. It smells fine; at least it isn’t stinky. We play fetch and tug with this toy and there is very little wear and tear and only shows teeth marks. She will sit and chew on the toy for quite a while and seems content while chewing on it. Great tog

Helps With Teeth Cleaning

Our dog loves chewing on this toy multiple times a day. I believe it helps with teeth cleaning. As we do not brush or add additives to water or food for teeth cleaning. Seems that vet is not suggesting to have teeth cleaned every visit anymore. The rubber is very durable. Last about 6 to 7 months before we start to see deterioration and have to replace.
