Following Julys Staccato Signals, the much-acclaimed third album under his own name, this autumn composer and producer Ben Chatwin will release it's companion piece Drone Signals, available via Village Green Recordings on 14th September. Unlike Staccato Signals where Ben started with a blank slate and built the music up layer by layer, finishing with the string quartet, this time the process began with everything on hand. The task became dismantling the tracks stripping them apart to see what was left, letting certain sounds or instruments become the focus, and then rebuilding the arrangements around them. This allowed elements to breathe, yet also to become more static. The less chaotic and more ambient nature of these pieces suggested a related album of versions, a conceptual sibling Drone Signals.Feeding string parts through an array of modular synthesisers, utilising modern sampling and granular synthesis, Ben remoulded what was once players performing in a room into new microscopic electronic textures. By using the final element of the previous album, recording the strings, as a starting point to feed into his machines, Ben developed a central conceptual tool of his previous album giving up control even further. The result is a fractured and dissembled interpretation of Staccato Signals as performed by modular synthesisers. In this way, Drone Signals might best be understood as the aftermath of Staccato Signals, a post-apocalyptic sonic landscape. It retains much that made Staccato Signals such a rewarding album it's mournful beauty, the tense, ambiguous relationship between electronic and acoustic elements, and a delicate if not volatile balance between elegance and intensity. This time, however, the palette is broader, more static concerned more with monolithic structures than with sharp edges.1 Burning Witches2 Unravel3 Chiral4 Nordsjøen5 Dendrites6 Lost At Sea7 Coruscate 8 Bone9 Tail

Queen Helene Cocoa Butter Hand and Body Lotion
Size: 32 Ounce (Pack of 1), Size: 32 Ounce (Pack of 1)
As someone who typically shies away from using lotion due to its heavy and greasy feel, I was initially hesitant to try the Queen Helene Cocoa Butter Hand and Body Lotion. However, after ordering a large bottle for both my husband and me, I can confidently say that I am pleasantly surprised by how much I love it. One of the first things that struck me about this lotion is its delightful scent. With every application, I feel like I've been transported to a serene beach setting, enveloped in the comforting aroma of cocoa butter. It adds a touch of luxury to my skincare routine and leaves me feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. What truly sets this lotion apart for me is its lightweight texture. Unlike other lotions I've tried in the past, this one absorbs quickly into the skin without leaving behind any greasy residue. I appreciate how effortlessly it spreads and how it doesn't weigh down my skin, allowing me to go about my day comfortably. Additionally, I've noticed that the Queen Helene Cocoa Butter Hand and Body Lotion provides ample hydration without feeling heavy or cloying. It leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth, and moisturized, without the need for constant reapplication throughout the day.
I would highly recommend this lotion, especially for those with mature skin. Its lightweight, non-greasy formula makes it a joy to use, and the beach-like scent adds a delightful touch to the skincare experience. Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed with the Queen Helene Cocoa Butter Hand and Body Lotion and plan to continue incorporating it into my daily routine.

A lotion that you remember since childhood
Size: 16 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Wow! Queen Helene Cocoa Butter. What can I say about this timeless classic lotion.
Well first off, if you were growing up on the free school lunch program or had almost no money in your household while living off other government subsidies, Queen Helene Cocoa Butter was on your shelf somewhere in your home because of its price. I mean it was a budget bottled lotion product that we all poked fun at when you were broke.
BUT, it actually does the job. Yeah it really does. For what it has to offer, it works well and has a scent that will remind you of your past growing up just like when you use to apply Ben-Gay on to you. There's a reason this product almost has a 5 out of 5 stars review on Amazon. Because it's a no frills, straight forward lotion that does help moisturize your skin that last for the whole day/night with a pleasant fragrance. You do have to put multiple applications onto you, but it does work and has the same excellent results you would expect from the bigger name products available on the market.
We can all have a good laugh about Queen Helene Cocoa Butter on what it represented for those with little money. However, it always did the job on protecting and softening your skin without spending so much money on more expensive lotions.
I'll always have a bottle in my house as long as I live because it WORKS!!!

Light and Effective
Size: 32 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I don't like lotion. Specifically, I don't like putting it on my hands. But my skin said, "tough." Literally. So, I had to suck it up and find a solution to the dry, rough skin I was developing. I looked through a lot of products and decided to try this. I'm glad I did--I love it!
It doesn't feel greasy.
My skin soaks it all up, even on my hands (I just have to distract myself for a couple minutes after I've rubbed it all in so it can finish soaking in).
It smells good! (It's not a strong scent and doesn't cause a headache for me or my scent-sensitive spouse).
There's a ton of it, and a little goes a long way. It's cost effective.
So, it ticks all my boxes. I can afford it, it's effective, the smell is good, and I don't get the overwhelming urge to wash it off! Win!
