Like its predecessor, the X-Bolt 2 Speed is built for the on-the-move hunter with a no-holds barred design. It retains features like a fluted sporter contour barrel that keeps the rifle light, maneuverable and easy to carry. The muzzle is threaded M13x0.75 to accept the included radial muzzle brake, thread protector cap, or install an optional Browning Recoil Hawg Sporter muzzle brake for extra reduction in recoil. The action is bedded and the barrel is free floated for consistent accuracy.
The Cerakote Smoked Bronze finish is applied to the redesigned action and barrel for metal protection that exceeds traditional bluing or stainless steel. The DLX Trigger is a three-lever design that offers zero creep, zero take-up, and zero overtravel performance and comes preset from the factory at 3.5 pounds. (Adjustable down to 3.0 pounds.)
The lightweight Vari-Tech composite stock features 3-way adjustment, the concealment of Browning OVIX for excellent concealment in a variety of terrain and environments, and the new, thicker Inflex recoil pad.
With the Vari-Tech stock, Browning has a configurable stock with adjustment that is on par with many chassis-style stocks. Adjustments can be easily made to the comb height to dial-in the alignment between your eye and optics. Length of pull is adjusted internally with spacers for a solid, rattle-free feel. Even the grip angle can be changed by switching between the sporter and vertical grip modules. On the subject of grip, rubber overmolding on the gripping surfaces provides added security in all conditions.
When hunting, fractions of a second can determine success or failure. When fit to your dimensions, the Vari-Tech stock creates a rifle that feels like an extension of your body so you can get an accurate first shot off sooner and have faster, more accurate follow up shots.
