The new PUBLIC C8i Disc combines urban style with modern commuter practicality. The upgraded high-end Shimano Alfine 8-speed internal hub delivers a smooth, silent ride that is virtually maintenance-free, while the Rapid-fire trigger shifter provides quick, seamless shifting. Naturally, this premium model comes with unique commuter details: All-weather hydraulic disc brakes that offer controlled braking and allow you to stop on a dime, an improved cockpit to provide an added level of comfort and control for gliding through traffic with ease, weatherproof bolt-on grips, and our Premium Comfort Saddle designed to give you the same comfort of a well-worn leather saddle on your very first ride.
The C8i Disc is built around a light-weight Chromoly frame and the same low entry design that makes it easy to put a foot down when stopped and allows you to get on and off the bike with ease in everyday attire. The complementing chain guard and removable alloy fenders will keep your threads clean and dry in all kinds of weather conditions. Puncture-resistant tires and our strongest double-walled alloy rims offer our signature smooth ride even over the toughest city streets. The beautiful styling and practical design separate the PUBLIC C8i Disc from any other bike you’ll see on the street. When you see the bike for yourself, we think you'll agree. The rose gold color is only available in limited quantities, so get your before they’re gone forever. This bike is not eligible for our Ready to Ride shipping option due to oversize packaging restrictions.
