Cesar and Mary were born in Upper Marlboro at Darnall Chance and Pentland Hills, DNA connects them to some of Maryland's most wealthiest landowners. Separated from their parents as toddlers by the intra-state slave trade - the book presents their Carolina, and Tennessee connections and then finally settling in Jefferson Village Marengo County Alabama.
